Harvey Weinstein's Bankrupt Movie Studio Agrees To Pay Dozens Of His Accusers $25 Million In Settlement Agreement

After a two-year legal battle, Harvey Weinstein and the board of his bankrupt studio, the Weinstein Company, have agreed to pay dozens of his accusers $25 million in a tentative settlement agreement. Harvey Weinstein's Bankrupt Movie Studio Agrees To Pay Dozens Of His Accusers $25 Million In Settlement Agreement.
According to The New York Times, the deal does not require Weinstein to admit any wrongdoing, and he isn’t paying for this settlement out of his own pocket. Instead, insurance companies representing The Weinstein Company will take care of the payout to more than 30 actresses and former Weinstein employees who have accused the former producer of everything from sexual harassment to rape.
If the court approves the deal, it will also take care of potential claimants and end all of the lawsuits that Weinstein’s alleged victims have brought against the former producer and his company.
The settlement will be part of The Weinstein Company’s bankruptcy proceedings, which is settling $47 million in debt that the former studio owes to creditors, including Weinsten’s accusers.
Approximately $12 million of the bankruptcy settlement package will go toward Weinstein’s legal expenses, members of the studio’s board, and Harvey’s brother and former business partner, Bob Weinstein. And, the settlement terms include the alleged victims dropping their claims against Harvey Weinstein and other company executives.
One of the Weinstein’s accusers, actress Katherine Kendall, said she wasn’t thrilled with the terms of the settlement, but she agreed to it anyway.
“I don’t love it, but I don’t know how to go after him,” said Kendall. “I don’t know what I can really do.”
Attorney Genie Harrison – who represents Weinstein’s former assistant Sandeep Rehal – says that if the alleged victims would have tried to hold out for a better deal, they might have ended up with nothing.
“I don’t think there’s a markedly better deal to be made,” Harrison said. “We have really, truly done the best we can under the circumstances, and it’s important for other victims to know this, come forward and be able to get the best level of compensation we were able to get.”
According to the proposed $25 million settlement, 18 of the alleged victims would divide $6.2 million between them, with no one walking away with more than $500,000. And, $18.5 million would go to participants of the class-action lawsuit, the lawsuit from the New York Attorney General, and future claims.

Old School Capcom RPG, Breath of Fire 2, Comes To Switch Online On December 12th For First Time In 25 Years

Classics are a strange thing, you go back and replay them and they’re almost always totally different than you thought they were. The same is true for books and movies, but when it comes to video games, it’s almost on a whole other level. Pixelated graphics are never stored as pixelated images but fully-fleshed out HD, and the stories seem way better than they actually were.
25 years ago, Capcom released Breath of Fire 2, a sequel to the first game, which was named—you guessed it—Breath of Fire. But this one might still be worthwhile in lots of ways, despite its lack of fame. Old School Capcom RPG, Breath of Fire 2, Comes To Switch Online On December 12th For First Time In 25 Years.
What’s interesting about Breath of Fire 2 is that it happened to be released during a time when the video game industry, especially in the United States, was nowhere near as mainstream as it is today. That’s probably why Breath of Fire 2 suffers from serious problems with localization. It’s as if the game’s translators decided to forego quality control at every single stage of the process. Some characters have their names spelled three different ways, other parts are complete nonsense, I mean, you get the idea.
Breath of Fire 2 does have a genuinely interesting storyline beneath all of its faults. And, to be fair, that’s true for most games from the 1990s. But, just like books, there’s more to games than just having a good story
Despite the fun storyline, the game’s age really does show through. It can often be tedious, the battle mechanics are banal and way too annoying, and the game itself is a bit slow. At times it feels more like a slog than a genuinely enjoyable experience. Was it like that when it first came out? Not if memory serves as any guide, which it certainly doesn’t in this case.
That’s sort of the thing with a lot of forgotten games from the period. Especially those games which hopped the pond and didn’t get their origins in the US. There’s so much potential buried under bad graphics and poor translations. It’s about time we started digging some of them out and seeing what we can make of them. Maybe Breath of Fire 2 is worth taking another look at, but not because it’s actually worthwhile as a game.
Breath of Fire 2 will be available for download for all Switch Online subscribers starting on December 12th. If you’re interested in revisiting a forgotten piece of gaming history, all of its faults notwithstanding, go ahead and give it a try.

Kourtney Kardashian Reunites With ExYounes Bendjima For Wild Night Out Miami — Pic

Reunited, and it feels so good! Kourtney Kardashian, 40, was spotted living it up with her ex-boyfriend in Miami on December 5 during Art Basel. Yes, that’s Younes Bendjima, 26, partying the night away next to Kourtney in this pic (see below), taken at celebrity hotspot LIV in Miami Beach. Kourtney has a huge grin on her face while hanging out with Younes, as Kendall Jenner mans the DJ booth with Bella Hadid. An eyewitness told TMZ that Kourtney and Younes “looked very much like a couple” while partying at LIV — talking, laughing, and listening to Kendall spin tunes by Miley Cryus and Travis ScottKUWK: Kourtney Kardashian And Younes Bendjima Reunite At Miami Party - Eyewitness Says They 'Looked Like A Couple!'

It’s unclear if Younes and Kourtney arrived or left the club together. The exes, who broke up in August 2018, are both in Miami for Art Basel. The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star and the model attended the Dior Men’s Fall 2020 fashion show but didn’t interact. He definitely wasn’t at the beach, though (unfortunately) when Kourt, Kendall, and Bella sunbathed in skimpy bikinis. This isn’t the first time Kourtney and Younes have hung out together since their breakup. Younes was an attendee at her blowout 40th birthday party in April!
A source told HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY at the time that Younes, “regrets how things ended between them and feel that being invited to her party last night was a huge step towards reconciliation. In the brief time they spent together, he felt their chemistry and is hoping he gets to see more of her soon so he can show her how much he has grown, changed and matured since they were a couple.”
They were spotted in September holding hands while out and about in LA, so it looks like it worked!

What are the benefits of streaming via Bluetooth?

Whether you direct stream to your iPhone or use an additional device to access your mobile phone or music player, a streamer provides many opportunities that were previously unavailable.

Personalized listening experience

The audio signal can usually be set to stream to one or both hearing aids and the streamed signal can be amplified and shaped to match the hearing aid’s personalized settings. The volume of the stream may be controlled by the streamer or the Bluetooth hearing aids, depending on the manufacturer’s design. For music, your hearing aids can become a set of wireless earbuds. For an iOS or Android phone, you may want to stream the signal to just one hearing aid so as to keep the other one for other sounds in the room. This hands-free solution sure beats trying to position the mobile phone receiver close to the hearing aid microphone!

Multiple connections

Bluetooth helps connect your hearing aids
to the rest of your technology world.
Multiple devices can usually be paired to one streamer, so you can easily switch between different devices. For example, you can be connected to your mobile phone while you’re streaming a movie from your tablet. The streamer is able to interrupt or pause the audio from your tablet in order to bring you the audio signal from an incoming phone call.

Remote control of your hearing aids

Commonly, there are also capabilities for remotely changing the volume or program from the streamer. This is especially useful if your hearing aids are too small to accommodate external controls.

Standard protocol

Last but not least, Bluetooth is an electronics industry-standard protocol. It’s not unique to a particular hearing aid or hearing aid manufacturer, so there is uniformity in the way that it works across all devices. The platform has been tested and refined already, as it’s been in use for many years in the mobile phone industry. As stated above, the Bluetooth connection is secure and there’s no interference.

Bluetooth is today's cutting edge technology

Bluetooth technology in hearing aids has greatly elevated the hearing aid wearing experience and enable hearing aids to double as highly-personalized, custom audio devices. It’s an example of using today’s wireless hearing aid technology in a smart way that truly provides convenience for hearing aid wearers.
